ANNOUNCEMENT!! -- AUSTIN ANTI-FLUORIDATION MOVEMENT TO BE COVERED BY AUSTIN CHRONICLE

It's official:  the Austin Chronicle will run a feature article on Fluoride Free Austin's efforts in its next issue, Friday, November 27. Today a Chronicle photographer took pictures of my husband and me at City Hall, where we weren't speaking during Citizens Communication thanks to the new one-out of-four-Council meetings rule. The Chron is a highly literate, well-regarded Austin weekly, once alternative, now thoroughly mainstream.   Also quoted in the story is Neil Carman. Ph.D., environmentalist extraordinaire and our science guru.  Will it be a hit piece?  Who knows?  The Chron hasn't shown itself sympathetic to our cause in the past.  On the other hand, the writer was sufficiently engaged in his subject to take a tour of the Austin Water Utility.  We'll just hope for the best, brace for the worst, and remember that if you're catching flak, you must be over the target.

The current Austin Chronicle can be read at www.austinchronicle.com  Back issues are archived there.
