DR. MERCOLA INTERVIEWS FLUORIDE ACTION NETWORK'S PAUL CONNETT.- AND HIGHLIGHTS AUSTIN ACTIVISM!

The battle against water fluoridation received a giant boost a few days ago when noted medical journalist Dr. Joseph Mercola officially threw his weight behind efforts to end the practice in the United States and Canada.  Mercola, who has frequently written columns highly critical of fluoride in the past, launched his entrance into the fray with a 42-minute video interview with Dr. Paul Connett, director of the Fluoride Action Network.  The video, which has already received hundreds of thousands of Internet hits, both makes the case against fluoride and showcases three centers of productive activism.  Those centers are the state of Ontario in Canada and, in the United States, the cities of San Diego and Austin.

We are honored to be singled out in this manner, alongside two movements that have been at it much longer than we have.  Mercola cited in Austin's favor both leadership and media support.  Fluoride Free Austin has multiple leaders, and the flow of creative ideas from all sides has been outstandng, as has our steady step-by-step progress on a shoestring budget.  As to media support:  we have managed to do quite well, thank you, despite the local corporate daily's adamant refusal to acknowledge our existence.  The city's own Channel 6 TV has proved invaluable in spreading our message, and coverage by the Austin Chronicle, Daily Texan, freelancer Niamh Marnell and local talk radio and access TV have all contributed enormously.

We have now been placed in the national spotlight as a model for anti-fluoridation activism.  We need to set an example of success.  And we will.

The whole lot of the group in Austin have much to be proud of. The city environmental board stood tall also in standing up to the city manager and staff slick non science response. A poor quality whitewash with cut and paste PR BS. This is only done when they know a real study must be avoided at all costs. The risks are documented with science but the benefit is just disproved theory. The EPA science unions called it fraud as many others have. Selmer Tn mayor David Robinson has shown with the complete record of questions and responses how deception and non response is the typical tactic to keep fluoridation. Poughkeepsie Ny had asked the same 33 Jeff Green inspired questions. They ended fluoridation after waiting over a year for the state and local health department to answer a single question. Every commissioner voted to end five decades of fluoridation.
Selmer added 11 additional questions from the black community of double damage for blacks well proven with no warning to the public. Informed consent does not exist.
I just read a interesting post on a blog blackvoices.com in LA that had comments about black cities having more fluoride added to damage them greater. We need to get this out in the black community in a more accurate fashion with the shocking risks the government does cover up. This is something worth worth getting active in a commission chamber could solve. Numbers of people with a firm conviction are impossible for commissioners to ignore. But only if the number is great enough. Small numbers are just unpleasant for them. Some will listen just praying you give up. A full court press is impossible to ignore.
It sure seemed a blessing Bill Kiel Alamo Heights was willing to share his knowledge and provide a template of what can work. One commissioner strongly on your side is very helpful. Bill as a commissioner could correct the false information at any time from the health department with a Power Point to counter their predicatable presentation. It is very helpful as they do the same thing over and over most times. It is cut and paste policy most often. Easy to counter as it avoids real science.
I loved the Connett Mercola interview. It has such potential to get before hundreds of thousands of people if not millions if it go viral. This can open doors now closed as people understand the risks hidden from them. When they identify medical issues fluoridation causesin loved ones and themselves. Anger is justified. We need to channel that into action now. So many good information sites exist now and Fluoride free Austin is right up at the top in the middle of the battle. Great work. Jim Schultz

We in New Zealand admire your tenacity and courage, and are following your progress in Austin with excitement. You have done a tremendous job, and we wish you all the best, particularly responsible councillors, open-minded medical professionals and a community passionate about defending their right to refuse poisoning/"medication" via their water supply.

Just wanted to mention Mercury amalgam issue covered by Dr. Kennedy of Iaomt.org interview on Natural news.com by Mike adams. It discusses San Francisco getting 90% of the mercury out of the sewage sludge by making the dentists an offer they could not refuse. Every office installed a mecury collector in the waste water. Osha has never attempted to enforce violations at dental offices. Few comply with the toxic laws and regs. This could be a tool to open the door on fluoride issue. The ADA also trys to suppress honest dentists on this issue. Shows a pattern of deception and exposing patients to toxins. Same for fluoride. Natural new just hat part 2 of 3 parts on dentists and mercury. I am going to see if the health department complies with OSHA regualtions and if they use mercury precautions such as high vaccum suction, water mist, quality respirators not just thin 3 micron masks. No carpet and drapes to collect mercury fumes and particles. Collect from water drains. It is even illegal to mix mercury in the room. All do this.

My mercury comments were also made as a suggetion to use about the Dilllo dirt issue. Recalled many are fighting this toxic heavy metal filled sludge getting into our food and environment. Of course it is loaded with fluoride also but dentists are the almost only source of mercury in most cities. Try to get OSHA response to enforcement . See if dental association will state what local dentists are doing to prevent toxic exposures in their offices. They do polish and remove with high speed drills mercury all the time even when they refuse to put it in. again iaomt.org gives all the information and talk to Dr Kennedy. Ask the city public works about fluoride and mercury levels in the sludge and the treated water they discharge. Could get some good ammunition to stop both uses.
